Cozy Block Garden · ChickStudios
Effective date: 29 June 2026 · Last updated: 29 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ChickStudios ("we", "us") handles information in the mobile game Cozy Block Garden (the "Game"). We built the Game to be privacy-friendly and safe for players of all ages. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use cross-app tracking or advertising identifiers for targeting.

The short version. The Game asks for your date of birth once, on first launch, only to decide which experience to show:

1. Who we are

The Game is published by ChickStudios. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@chickvideogames.com.

2. The age gate

On first launch we ask for your date of birth. We use it only to determine your age bracket (child / teen / adult). We store only the resulting bracket on your device — we do not store, transmit, or log your date of birth. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Change Age.

3. Information we collect

Child experience — nothing leaves your device

If the age gate resolves to a child (or is left unanswered), the Game runs in a fully local, offline-friendly mode: your progress is saved only on your device, and the Game makes no network requests to our services for accounts, analytics, leaderboards, or ads. We collect no personal information from children.

Adult experience

For adult players, we and our service providers process the following:

DataWhyWhere
Anonymous account IDSave and sync your game progress; identify your leaderboard row. Created automatically — no name, email, or login required.Google Firebase (Authentication)
Your game save (progress, garden, settings)Cloud backup and multi-device syncGoogle Firebase (Firestore)

Pseudonymous gameplay events (e.g. level started/completed)Understand difficulty and improve the Game. Uses a random client identifier — not linked to your identity or any advertising ID.Google Analytics (Measurement Protocol)

Advertising interactionsTo show and cap non-personalized ads and deliver opt-in rewardsGoogle AdMob

What we never collect

We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, postal address, precise location/GPS, photos, camera, microphone, or contacts. The Game contains no paid in-app purchases.

4. Advertising

The Game is supported by advertising shown only to adult players. Ads are served by Google AdMob and are non-personalized (NPA): they are based on general, non-identifying context, not on tracking your behavior across apps or sites.

5. Leaderboard & user-generated content

Adult players may type a public display name for the leaderboard. Please do not include personal information in your name. We apply basic filtering, and every entry can be reported from within the Game; reports are reviewed and we remove names that violate our zero-tolerance policy, typically within 24 hours. You can change or remove your name at any time.

6. Children's privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K and similar laws)

The Game is suitable for a general audience and is not directed primarily at children, but we design it to be safe if a child plays. Because the child experience collects no personal data, sends nothing off the device, and shows no ads, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. How we share data

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use the following service providers ("processors") only to operate the adult experience:

We may also disclose information if required by law.

8. Data retention

Your anonymous account and cloud save persist while you use the Game, so your progress is there when you return. If you ask us to delete your data (see below), we remove your cloud save and leaderboard entry. On-device data is removed when you delete the app.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. Because adult accounts are anonymous, the simplest way to exercise these rights is to contact us at privacy@chickvideogames.com with your in-game leaderboard name (if any) so we can locate your record. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

10. Data security

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Cloud saves are protected by owner-only access rules so that only your anonymous account can read or write your data, and requests are verified with Firebase App Check to deter abuse.

11. International transfers

Our service providers (Google) may process data on servers located outside your country, including the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice within the Game or store listing.
